Angry Salmon - Anchor Point’s newest restaurant, watering hole, and event space!  We’re bringing good food and good times back to the legendary Anchor River Inn.  Just head west as far as any highway will take you and you’ve found us.  From fresh local seafood to mouth-watering burgers, we’re proud to offer our unique take on American and Alaskan classical fare.

Our top-shelf bartenders will whip up just what you need to relax and add a few new details to your favorite fishing story.  Join us to check out some live music, catch the game, or warm up in your wading boots over a hot meal. 

 

While the paint and decor may be fresh, the history of the Anchor River Inn goes back generations. For over 60 years the Inn has served as Anchor Point’s communal meeting space.  The property itself has gone through plenty of changes over the years, but has always offered residents and visitors alike a place to gather over quality food and company.  

 

We at Angry Salmon look forward to continuing the tradition of bringing the community together to celebrate, regale, drink, dine, and party down…Anchor Point style.

 

Why Angry Salmon?

According to our limited research, they rarely look happy to have a hook in their lip.  

 

But are they angry?  We can only assume.

When you’re a salmon, everyone and everything is out to get you.  But salmon are tough and tenacious (just like Alaskans).  They face nearly impossible odds, surviving for years in the open ocean where orca pods and hungry seals patrol the water.  They finally navigate back to their ancestral river, only to be met by a welcoming party of bears, eagles, fishing hooks, and countless other obstacles.  But the salmon, narrowing their eyes, remain relentless in their pursuit of home.  

 

 We’re enthralled by these amazing creatures, and here at Angry Salmon we’ll go to nearly any length to make sure you and yours have a great time being our guests.
